Tammra looks forward to creating bigger carvings and continuing with her folk painting series to depict life in rural Tennessee. But not to worry, she will continue to carve her collectible Santa figures, little dogs and penguins!

PAINTINGS
Memorial Day painting
 Hacock County, TN is filled with perfect scenes for Tam to paint, like this ritual of cutting and rolling hay. "Pickin' on the Porch" is a bluegrass party on the front porch.

"Hillside Drive" celebrating "Big" Jeannie's birthday in Manlius, NY. "Let's go to the Beach" This colorful beach scene is a very busy folk painting showing many aspects of the ocean Tam so enjoys. "Kingfield Days" In this painting of "Kingfield Days," Tam portrays the busy streets of Kingfield, Maine at the town's annual celebration.
The week's laundry hung out to dry was a great subject for Tam as she shows the beauty even in chores for Appalachian folks. "Mary and the Dog Parade" Tam painted it as it really happens; Mary leaves home with one dog and ends up with a whole parade of pooches by the time she gets to Alder Road. "Window Paintings" Tammra's window paintings utilize real wooden windows as the picture frame and her scenes depict rural or wildlife scenes.
Don't let Pinky Lee's cuteness distract you -- he is a thief and will steal your shoes if you don't have them tied on! "Little Log Cabin" depicts a sweet farm scene on the other side of the Clinch River.

Carved Santas
These little figures in the "Card Players" are attached to a small wooden box - perfect for holding playing cards! Click for a larger image.
Tammra and Gil collaborate on Noah's Ark sets -- Gil builds the elaborate boats which store the animals when not on display while Tam carves and paints the animals then decorates each ark with many colorful details. Tammra's carved Santa figures are in collections around the world and vary in size and shape, and each has special details both lovingly carved and painted by the artist.

Tam has been published! Stamper's Sampler Take Ten chose one of Tam's cards for their Summer 2007 issue! Tam used Stampin' Up supplies for the "Dreams and Wishes" card, which can be found on page 18.
